Bhopal Thappa Thussi

Thappa Thussi is a traditional way of making jewellery by beating gold and copper together. The thin sheets are then cut in smaller pieces and used to make conventional neckpieces or bangles. Mostly available in floral and geometric patterns, the jewellery is light-weight and affordable. The traditional designs – Gulloband, Pauchi, Champakali and others – have a charm of their own.
