It dose not matter
That we don't understand
The essence of each others words
Or maybe
We cant put a frame
Around the expressions
And hang it
Somewhere near the other paintings
We have been so accustomed of seeing
Over the years...

Maybe we don't need
The high sounding words
Or forced opinions
Or gentle admonitions
Its an unnecessary burden
On our past conditioning
To hear the other
With patience and understanding...

So we go back
And re-touch
Those old paintings
Of the years gone by
A dab here
A touch there
To look at it
With a little better understanding
Using colour's
Of our differences...
