Bhanwari Devi case: Ashes sent for DNA tests

The ashes collected from a site in Jodhpur has been sent to Delhi for a DNA test to ascertain if they were indeed the remains of Bhanwari Devi. A CFSL team recovered some items from a canal suspected to be belonging to the accused who disposed of Bhanwari's bod. These include two guns, a gunny bag, a bat and some bone parts, that could be remains of the nurse herself. Soil sample has been collected for testing from the canal bank.
