BEVERLY RACHEL hails from Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Malaysia’s state of Sabah in northwestern Borneo. As a young girl, Beverly took a piano lesson, decided she does not like it and quits immediately. Her love affair with songwriting began when she was 12, while harbouring a secret crush on the boy-next-door. Despite a short-lived infatuation, her love for music eventually grew and she went on to write many more songs after picking up the piano and guitar, playing by ear.

When Beverly was 18, her friend urged her to send her original song, 'Honeydew' to Hitz.fm Sabah. Her song went on Hitz Borneo English Top 10 in 2012 and stayed on the #1 spot for at least 12 weeks.

BEVERLY RACHEL’s pure, beautifully clear voice was wonderful to experience. She likes to fold a ‘break’ into it, like an Irish folk singer might. An enthralling listen.
