Betty Mae Eaton - Time

Time is so precious, yet so annoying. You can't see it, you can't feel it, it's everywhere, yet it's no where. Your day begins with it, your nights end with it. Time stands still, yet it flys by so fast. Time can mean life or death to some. There's a time to love, a time to cry, a time to laugh,a time to work, a time to play, a time to sleep, a time to pray. Time is around us everywhere. We can't stop it, we can't make it go away. Time is one thing the whole world has in common. Everything and everyone exists and comes together with time. There is nothing you can do or say against time to make a difference to time. It just keeps on ticking away, every second, every minute of every day. It never pauses to be refreshed. It never stops to take a rest. No one knows where those used seconds, minutes and hours go. No, no one knows.
A Woman A womans place is in the home. She cannot go, she cannot roam. A few years back this was the rage, to keep a woman in a cage. To clean the house and feed the dogs and even sometimes slop the hogs. But times have changed you can't deny, a woman now is very sly. She doesn't have to reason why. She comes and goes and speaks her mind, and someday soon I'm sure she'll find the good old days are far behind.
