Rays of hope fell on my bed this morning
Gleaming with the sparkle of rebirth
Satisfying all the holes within me
Restoring lost belief in faith and worth

As I stirred I heard the birds were singing
Tunes so pure they warmed my very soul
Bringing back the memory of my childhood
Of innocence back when my heart was whole

Serenity came soft on blissful breezes
Imparting that I was no longer ‘lone
Amazingly compassionately tender
Anxiety departed
I was home…
