Beto O'Rourke fundraising fell to $3.6 million in second quarter.
That's a startlingly small sum for a candidate whose presidential campaign once appeared unstoppable.
O'Rourke raised massive amounts of money for his 2018 Senate race.
However, his 2019 quarterly fundraising total was deflating for even many of O’Rourke’s allies.
His allies had privately raised alarms in recent days about O’Rourke raising much less than expected.
