Bethlehem Prepares For The Christmas Rush

One of the most moving experiences for Christians is to celebrate Christmas in Bethlehem, the citywhere Jesus was born. In recent years the city of Bethlehem has been forced to confront political unrest,violence during the second intifada, Islamic extremist groups infiltrating into the city and severe economic problems causing a large percentage of its Christian residents to flee abroad. According to a survey published by the Bethlehem governor's office today the number of Christian residents living in the city comprises 15% of the entire population compared to 80% in former years.
