Besma Jemaa - How many times

How many times have I liked to stop living when my friends were under the fire dying.
How many times have I liked to stop feeling compassionate and try to go through what they 're undergoing.
How many times have I tried not to sleep just to experience the feeling of a wink longing.
All my trials and my wishes were just in vain.
At last nobody can be in the shoes of others.

If ever we could, we wouldn't stay silent till now.
If ever we could, we would have reacted somehow.
If ever we could, no stem of fear would ever grow.
If ever we could, we would be all friends, not a single foe.
