Bernadeth Tolentino - Colored pencils

Slowly paint my heart red,
Scribble in between the lines.
Rainbows in the sky ahead
ending where the grass begins.

Swirling as the colors blend,
Hands showing where they need to go
Hiding flaws when they can.
And from then on, a drawing grows.

Scratching at the papers white.
Forming pictures that tell a story
Filling it with words, words can't describe
A simple artist's path to glory.
