As i'm about to resume
smoking my hashish,
giving up on the booze
for a few days
avoiding
all the violinists
the lonely feathers
and endless serenades
that come with it,
i raise my pipe to you
my faceless friend,
wishing you were here
flying with me
on these days of no return.
