you wake up
to darkness, find
you've fallen asleep
reading again
the 3: 20 train
rattling away
towards memphis
towards st. louis
to new orleans
the night goes
on and on and the
train rolls
heavy past, all
rain drops
falling from
a greedy sky
you wonder
when it all
falls
and fades
and withers
will they
remember
me
