I never believed what was said
I never thought it held any truth
I didn't want to sit back and wait
I felt in the shadows that way

I gave up trying
Decided to wait till a new time
A new place with new faces
I least expected what happened next

I met you and something happened
I couldn't explain it
I sat up at night just thinking about you
Was this what they meant?

I wasn't even looking anymore
A new friend was all i expected
I couldn't expect anything more,
Could i?

I held you in my arms
My heart stopped in time
I told myself this just can't be
I wasn't even trying this time

You kissed my lips
I got lost in you
I finally believed the saying
Love found me when i least expected it

Now the final question remains
Will the feeling be returned?
Or do i love from afar?
It's the final question i have
