youll stain the sky red
not in hate or in rage
but in the love that i have
i will never forget
what i thought was a fad
that turned into a love
i never knew i had

i could stain the sky blue
with the tears in my eyes
but i hold them back
dont ask me why
i will protect you
through the night
and in the dark
i will run through the fog
and over the sparks
that scorch my feet
with every drop

i give you permission
to break my heart
to make me cry
and to tear it apart
the love in my heart
and tears in my eyes
will create together
the beatiful night sky
so i can lay in the dark
wile you silently sleep

and when the morning star rises again youll see
when you felt so safe
all you felt was me
