The two youngsters Benoit Carpentier (Naish) from France and Mo Freitas from Oahu, Hawaii will be looking to show the older generation how it is done and have made a real statement so far in 2012. With a semi final finish far from home at Sunset, Benoit made a huge statement this year. Meanwhile a few months later on the other side of the world, it was the Oahu phenom Mo Freitas who reached the semi finals in Benoit's backyard at la Torche.

Both these young talents surf way beyond their years and will be looking to cause some upsets at the next stop in Brazil. What's more, Benoit is currently lying in 6th place overall - a phenomenal achievement for someone so young."
