When I first met you, I saw someone else.
Someone that I have known all my life.
She is lovely,
A beautiful face,
Capturing eyes.
Her vibe is as welcoming as her warm hugs.

She is full of the Lord.
I can see her heart, overflowing with gentleness.

She is not like the rest
Set apart,
Yet I have no idea as to why.
She is special I guess
Unique and perfect in her own way.

My eyes refocus onto you.
I am back to the here and now.
That girl in my past is you,
Mirroring the love that has returned.
