Beijing is drafting specific rules to manage the import of Nvidia's advanced H200 AI chips, according to Nikkei Asia. Beijing's rules aim to decide which companies can access the hardware and how much, ensuring that domestic chips are protected against the influx of foreign tech. The White House is also imposing a 25% tariff on these Taiwan-made processors, aligning with an earlier agreement requiring Nvidia to pay a 25% fee on its sales in China.
