Beer Delivery Man Stops Thief

Don't mess with the beer delivery man, that's the tough lesson one man learned during Block Party. The incident started just after 4 PM on Fetterman Avenue on Saturday. A Campus Beer delivery truck was making a delivery and had stopped briefly, to get through the large crowd on Fetterman Avenue. A man can be seen on surveillance video talking on his cell phone and then stealing a case of beer from the back of the truck. The delivery driver then gave chase and tackled the thief a short distance away. State Police of the mounted horse unit assisted in subduing the suspect and escorted him to nearby officers for booking.
Witnesses said they were receiving a delivery of two cases of beer but unfortunately only one made it. The stolen case was plastered all over Fetterman Avenue with bystanders grabbing whatever that was left of the beer after the suspect was tackled. Police have not released the identity of the suspect or charges at this time.
