Sweetpotato bug

Stink bug that attacks several nightshades, including tomatoes, peppers and tobacco. The attack of this pest is common in Rio Grande and may, however, occur in other regions. The main crop that this species attacks and that has economic importance is the tobacco crop. It also occurs in other economically important crops, such as sweet potatoes, rice, potatoes and tomatoes.
