The party's swinging
everyone's having fun
but deep in my heart
I know we're missing someone

To the outside world
I'm as happy as can be
but inside I'm falling apart
scared to let anyone see

I wish with all my heart
that things could be different
and we weren't so far apart
but in order to fix it
I don't know where to start

So for now I'll carry on pretending
until I know how to make it right
my heart can't go on mending
with you so far out of sight!
