Stand like a soldier
Buried in my shoulder
Lies retraced
Across your palm

Your tears are soft
Like the wind
My shoulder hard
From the strain

I can feel it inside you
As you silently cry
Washing away the pattern on my shirt
Allowing me to relive

Standing like a soldier
Shoulder to shoulder
Your face is clear
And you smile,
