Bechet’s Fantasy -Sidney Bechet 1946
Many of my soprano sax playing friends hit a certain amount of repertoire, Petite Fleur of course, Si tu vois ma mere, etc. nice tunes but Bechet has written and recorded many others you don’t hear at all. Are these just not known by musicians? They are for sure in the catalogues and often available on CD’s, particularily today.
This is a tune you don’t hear often. This is for my friends Jim Buchmann, Simon Stribling, Michael Funke, Alain Maume, Lloyd Arntzen.
Maybe I’ll find their version on youtube one day.
