There is a very popular sentiment - to reminisce on the past and believe that things back then were "always better" that life today is a mess and getting messier. I choose not to go there today. It does not serve me to think the good old days are all gone. I know change is easier for some than others, but really, isn't that 101 stuff right? Why be sad over things we cannot change when we can put energy on the things we can affect, the people we do love?
