I read an interesting article in the NY Times a while back about the leader of the NAACP stepping down. HIs vision of building economic equality as a way to lead people to social equality was not well-supported. It got me thinking, that in many cases it doesn't matter which comes first. Try one, and if it doesn't work, try the other.
