A family birthday celebration took an unexpected turn at the beach when the wind had other plans.
Kevin Perez was at the beach in Valencia, Spain, with his wife, celebrating their daughter’s second birthday.
The couple set up a phone to record the moment, laid a blanket on the sand, and began arranging a small birthday decoration.
As part of the setup, Kevin’s wife held a balloon shaped like the number two.
However, strong wind blew across the beach sending the balloon into the air.
She ran after it, trying to catch it, but the balloon quickly drifted out of reach.
Kevin then picked up the phone and kept filming as his wife and daughter sat down together on the sand, quietly watching the balloon float away between the waves.
