Basque separatist group Eta announces ceasefire
Description
Basque rebels Eta have decided to no longer carry out armed attacks, Basque-language newspaper Gara has claimed on its website.
Gara did not make clear whether the ceasefire was permanent or temporary.
No one at the Spanish Interior Ministry could be reached for comment.
