Synopsis :
1941. Grâce au succès de sa première pièce de théâtre, un jeune dramaturge new-yorkais se voit proposer un alléchant contrat par un nabab hollywoodien. Après avoir, dans un premier temps, refusé cette offre, il se laisse finalement séduire et se retrouve dans un immense hôtel désuet et oppressant....
