Barry Van Allen - The Observer

He walks a lonely path,
and seldom recognition,
- - - he is the observer.

More than an observer,
he listens with intensity,
the thinking and the lack of speech,
is much more his propensity.

When you and I were younger,
we knew him as a friend,
we often found it humorous,
but, knew we could depend on him.

He did what he was told to do,
and he hardly ever argued,
he always helped, when help was needed,
the observer, and recluse.

He knows everybody's secrets,
and everybody knows it,
that the trusted man is in control,
as he continues to observe it.
