Barry Van Allen - Pastures

Someday there will be,
and this I can foresee,
... a time when I will graze on life,
... a time for riding free.

Using as my ladder,
that which I despise,
to take me to the summit,
of my mountain's sunny skies.

I will free myself from drudgery,
and forced rising day to day,
I will free myself from from business life,
... I will free myself for play!

It seems to me that there is more to life,
than fashion, clicks and cars,
more to life than politics,
more than work and bars

There is love and sun and fishin',
and laughing in the night out loud,
as we find out who is ticklish...
and who is really of the crowd.

It's just a dream, but everybody has it,
to stop the daily strife,
I long to leave the city,
and graze the pastures of my life.
