Barry Van Allen - Living With It

It is good that you are righteous,
because you almost didn't have that chance,
you don't remember giving - up on life,
and youv'e convinced yourself,
that it never really happened.

It's good that your'e self - righteous,
which means you are your asshole self,
and those of us that gave a damn,
- - - rescued you from you.

You are the man you always should have been,
but, now your'e passing judgement,
from your current mountain top,
... as if before meant nothing.

Those proud and hazy decades,
of drugs and sex and ' Rock -N - Roll,
don't allow for you to make mistakes,
... and therefore no one else can.

It is good that your'e self - righteous,
and if that means you'll never be,
a friend again to me - - -
... I can live with that!
