Pretty summer dresses,
long and flowing tresses,
lipstick and mascara,
turning massive men to messes.

Sweet perfume and flowers,
making dates wait several hours,
while he gets to know your father,
... for ten minutes!

Cute white summer sandals,
ex- boyfriends you can handle,
then knowing how to sympathize,
while nursing his black eyes.

Small suggestive statements,
that were never really meant,
and rubbing up against him,
... on a whimper, so to speak.

Lightly touching hands,
sweet kisses on a cheek,
as the big guy climbed the mountain,
that you never promised anyhow,
was destined for the peak.

Dance moves, so suggestive,
Oh! , those ' bedroom eyes ',
every move reflective of,
what isn't ' quite ' a lie.

Then, the ' catch ' is hooked,
and you become a wife,
only to find out, too late,
you should have played it straight,
because, you've ruined both your lives.

If you're fortunate,
you ' hooked ' a good one,
that knew it from the start,
and let you ' play ' your line with him,
'cause he's the one that caught the heart!
