Barry Van Allen - Awesome

What is it this life holds for me,
... and everyone I know?
Is it up to me to tell them,
or just let their own lives show 'em?

Is there a way I should convey,
the things I never say?
So many things I should have known,
but, somehow missed along the way.

I guess there is, but who am I,
that I should see it all?
For I am but a simple man,
who sits and looks, in awe.

Is there someplace I should go,
instead of staying here?
Should I be quiet, laying low?
Should I feel strength or fear?

Big questions there, but who am I,
that I should know it all?
For I am but a lonely man,
who sits and thinks, in awe.

Should there be peace throughout the world?
Should everyone be warned?
Could there be love beyond the hate,
or sun behind those storms?

But, who am I that I should know?
I stumble and I fall,
is there a plan unmade by man?
I sit and wonder, still in awe.

The winds still blow,
and waters flow,
as each life finds it's end,
the awesome does not matter much,
... at least as much as we pretend.
