Rukmini :
This is a 40 minute short film shot in 16 mm. It has been entered in the Punta del Este Documentary & Fiction Festival. A brief phrase about the film, as sent to this Festival, reads: "This is the story of a young Indian girl in the 1920's. She is married off to a sick man and becomes a widow within a year. Braving harsh rules and strictures from a rigid society, she struggles courageously to rebuild her life and is determined to marry again to live a full life."
This footage is part of the professionally-shot broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest collection of HD imagery from South Asia.
