Bangladesh should end the execution orders

ADNAN OKTAR: Rahman Nizami should ask for a pardon. Doing so would not do any harm to the honor of Islam. There are verses of the Qur'an that offers this as a practice. He would even earn extra merit of worship for practicing the verse, for carrying out God's commandment. But it seems difficult to explain all this from way over here and to dissuade the government. At the very least, they could release this poor, 90-year-old man. It is a terrible oppression. Rahman Nizami is not the only person on the death row. They should better turn the death sentences into imprisonment for life. If it is the political repercussions they are worrying about, these people will be sentenced to imprisonment for life, what more do they want? They will never see his face ever again; where is the harm in that? Put him in prison instead of a grave. Why would you want him to be put in a grave? The Islamic world should force their hand by passing a joint resolution through the Organization of Islamic Corporation. Mr. Erdoğan should step in and have this organization produce a recommendation on abolishing the practice of capital punishment and converting it into imprisonment for life. We should submit a petition to the Islamic Union Organization via Mr. Erdoğan, as he wields the greatest influence on this organization. If they try, it will surely produce a good outcome. They should propose this to the Bangladesh government.

My heart sinks to see this poor old man of 90 years old go through such suffering. Such conscience and mentality is beyond my understanding. Moreover, the prison conditions are truly terrible, dreadful. Mr. Erdoğan should rally the Islamic organizations around a joint resolution, and we should enforce that resolution. The Bangladeshi government can either deport or expatriate them. These people would leave their country, so the matter would be resolved.

Bangladesh is a poor country. Mr. Erdoğan can do them a favor; we could load 3 or 4 ships with foodstuffs along with a donation. We should send them a certain amount of food and ask them to release the prisoners in return. Then the Bangladeshi government can expatriate the prisoners and hand them over. For example, we can send them hundreds of thousands of sacksful of corn, rice, cracked wheat laden on several ships, and tell the Bangladeshi government to "hand over the prisoners in exchange for the food." We can, then, put them on board of those ships in groups. It is such a pity that these people are being hanged one by one. Because this tragedy angers and deeply disturbs the entire Islamic world. It upsets and offends all of us. Such a pity. How could you hang a 90-year-old, senile man? Do you not have any fear of God? The Bangladeshi government must be convinced for the deportation and expatriation of the prisoners. This is what we should do. We can provide them residence here in Turkey. Turkish State may give them the guarantee that they will not be allowed to engage in any political action. We should do that. Otherwise, they will hang the poor man. We should make haste.
