Bangarra OCHRES

FROM THE VAULT: an early work by the most succesful aboriginal dance company in Australia, BANGARRA. Choreographers Stephen Page (also former artistic director) and Bernadette Walong are giving context to the work. OCHRE is mix of four major colours: yellow, black, red and white. In all its forms and colours, ochre is essential to the life of Aboriginal communities with its myriad of purposes and the spiritual significance to Aboriginal people.
