Bucharest is the capital and the largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural centre. Located in the southwest of the country, on the banks of the Dâmbovița River, Bucharest is at a 2 hours drive from the seaside or the mountains.

It’s architecture is a mix of historical (neo-classical), interbellum (Bauhaus and art deco), communist-era and modern. In the period between the two World Wars, the city’s elegant architecture and culture earned the capital the nickname of “Little Paris”.

Bucharest is really eclectic when it comes to “independent” music. We have it all: from grunge to rap, from trip-hop to indie, from jazz to rockabilly, from metal to traditional music, you name it. A lot of great artists, from Romania or abroad, live here and are inspired by this city, making its musical heritage rich and colorful.
