Bae, Todd Miller back in the US
Description
Two American detainees arrive in the U.S. Saturday night after being freed from a prison in North Korea.
Kenneth Bae was greeted by his family at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state.
46-year old Bae had been held for two years on charges of crimes against the state.
Shortly thereafter, 25 year old Matthew Todd Miller walked down the steps of the same plane into the arms of his family.
Todd Miller had been imprisoned on an espionage charge.
Later Bae made brief comments.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) RELEASED NORTH KOREAN DETAINEE KENNETH BAE SAYING:
"It's been an amazing two years. I learned a lot, I grew a lot. I lost a lot of weight in a good way. But I'm standing strong because of you and thank you for being there at such a time as this."
The release of men had been secured by the U.S. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
