Badminton - The block shot

Welcome back to learning badminton with Abhijeet Naimpally.

Today, its all about playing the block shot.

Get your defensive game face on!

Essentially, its blocking an attacking shot and placing the shuttle around the net.

When you notice a smash, the idea is to block the shot - not too hard.

This reduces the speed of the shuttle and forces the opponent to change his stance.

Just a slight push would do. Avoid playing the block shot too hard.
