An unemployed couple has been living a nightmare for the past year.

As their son was born with an intestinal blockage.

He underwent surgery at Mt Hope Children's Hospital shortly afterwards.

That has allowed him to pass stool through an opening in his stomach.

It's a situation, which has become not only unbearable, but also untenable.

The distraught parents are now asking the public for help.
