B.. Alexander - Eleven Poems

I was standing on the pier, in the harbour
The waves were crashing down
I was drunk
Too close to the edge
I was crying
I was crying, all drunk

You walked past me there
You walked past
Like I've been wishing you would for so long
You stopped and said 'hi'
My heart stopped
I said 'hi'
I stopped crying
I stayed drunk
And said

'I wrote 11 poems for you
I wrote them in a hard-backed book
I drew a picture of you
I stuck it to the front
I wrote 11 poems for you...

Then I took all these pills
Then I swallowed
All these little white pills
Threw the book from the pier
I watched it disappear
And started crying
I wrote 11 poems for you...'
