Azhar Biopic to Drop Teaser Launch Plan During IPL Final

Teaser of the upcoming biopic, Azhar, was scheduled to be launched during the final of IPL 8 in Kolkata. However, according to the sources, the makers of the movie were forced to drop the plan at the last minute due to security concerns. Directed by Anthony D’Souza, the film will center on Azharuddin’s personal as well professional controversies. The biopic will have Emraan Hashmi playing the title role.
