I had a dream the other morning
Morning, because that’s how I dream these days.
All I could hear were the violent screams
Screams to wipe the pain away
I just lay there
Deciding nothing
I just lay there unable to speak
It was life that had wanted me first
Before it offered me to decay.
I could smell the stench of blood
The stench of nothing
Just as I lay

Hearing the scream
Continually harassed
My rhythm is taken
To make me wait
Laying there lost
Weak in the noise
I’ve discovered the darkness
That brakes my faith
Now I think
I do not sleep
I’m kept alive to see me weep
The noise is too loud
To hear the scream
The noise is too loud
To know what it means

How could I lay there and do nothing?
Not move a finger or whisper a fear?
How could I lay there and think of nothing
But the noise that’s keeping me here?
I lay here and imagine
If I could do something I’d be out there
My body is pounding but does not move
This is my life!
I have to choose!
It is the scream behind my lips
The one that’s fighting in my eyes
It is the one that storms my soul
When my body lays here paralyzed
It’s pushing against the walls of me
The me that keeps me from destiny

I breath, I breath
It’s all I can do
I need to breath the dream I choose.
I choose the dream that tells the truth.
