Aven Black - Toady's Wretched Captivity

I awoke again this day
With no motion in my heart
With strings of misfortune plucking
The intstrument of time were apart.

All those penned words I wrote
When your hands, mine could hold
Were merely a numb display
Of how without you, my sun turns cold.

So now I turn my head to the world
And now I sweep my gaze across the skies
As I try to find your vision
Like I do when closure meets my eyes.

These are the times of depression
These are the hours of endless succession
In which I wait for the day
That my arms can enfold you again.

Yet I know beyond any dismay
That soon again will rise the day
I can lay my lips beside you to say
How much I love you in every single way!

Yet for now...

These are the times of obsession
And the seconds of endless succession
In which I long for the day
That my heart can see you again.
