Antonio Banderas stars as an insurance agent from a post-apocalyptic robot company who investigates bots that are mysteriously able to modify themselves. What he discovers may change the landscape of life on Earth. Automata is a cheesy movie that mistakenly believes it's a profound movie, which makes you feel kind of awkward watching it. Now I love me a good ol' fashioned robopocalypse movie, so if this couldn't win me over, something seriously went awry. I give it three nuclear batteries out of five. Why nuclear batteries?
