Authorities release shooting suspect's mugshot

From Colorado, the mugshot of the man suspected in a shooting rampage that killed 12 people.

James Eagan Holmes, 24, was detained immediately after the massacre at a suburban Denver movie theater.

Following his appearance in court, an attorney representing his family held a press conference.

SOUNDBITE: LISA DAMIANI, ATTORNEY FOR THE FAMILY OF JAMES HOLMES, SAYING:

"Again, the family want to reiterate that their hearts go out to the victims and their families. The Holmes family would like to maintain their privacy, so at this time, we will not be discussing James or his relationship to the family and we would respect courtesy in that regard."

Asked how his family was doing, she had this to say.

SOUNDBITE: LISA DAMIANI, ATTORNEY FOR THE FAMILY OF JAMES HOLMES, SAYING:

"They are doing as well as they can under the circumstances."

Prosecutors say they are reviewing the evidence and will likely bring charges next week.
