ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION
Four people have been rescued after ultra-light plane crashed into a ferris wheel near the small coastal town of Old Bar, about 300 kilometres (190 miles) north of Sydney on Saturday.
The plane was leaking fuel as it dangled from the ferris wheel with two occupants trapped inside.
Emergency services sprayed foam on the plane to reduce the risk of it exploding.
The pilot and passenger of the plane were rescued, after being trapped for several hours inside their aircraft atop the ferris wheel.
Two children, who were riding the ferris wheel at the time, were rescued without injury.
The plane, a Cheetah S200, took off from a nearby grass airstrip. However, it failed to gain enough altitude to clear the ferris wheel, which was placed at the southern end of the airstrip as part of the local Old Bar Beach Festival.
