Australia's Labour party loses support over reforms

Support for Australia's Labor government is at a record low, according to a new poll, and the party is under fire from some for controversial gambling reform proposals.

But plans to impose restrictions on gambling with slot machines, known as 'pokies', are mostly the work of a lone independent MP, Andrew Wilkie, on whose support the survival of Julia Gillard's government depends.
