Australia constructing new 100-floor residential building

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — Australia constructing new 100-floor luxury residential building in Melbourne, reports Design Build Network.

The new residential tower is called 'Australia 108' and once it's complete will be 319 meters tall and feature a total of 1,105 apartments.

The core is made of concrete and its frame is designed with mega-column and mega-frames. Roughly 2,500 tons of glass will be used in the building's facade.

The luxurious residential building will also have a special amenity zone on the 70th and 71st floors called 'The Starburst' which will include two infinity pools, a gym, and private dining rooms.

The first stage of the construction was completed in May 2018. It included the construction of the first 40 levels and 491 apartments. The final stage will be finished by 2020.

According to Domain, the super penthouse on the 100th floor was sold to a Chinese businessman for roughly USD$18 million, but don't worry one-bedroom apartments only start at around USD$370,000.
