Att Tedjo - Her Were

It was obvious
I already knew I was right.
In a world where weird didn't exist
I would have been hers

But as unfair as it is.
I have to live with knowing
she is as happy as she'll ever be.
I am waiting here, not for what I know won't get
But waiting for her to know I'm here.
As long as she knows I'm here,
then I will survive.

I could never be happier
with what God has given to me
A first prize. The strength,
the grace and desire to continue
with what I am
Still making her and myself happy.

She knows I love her
For now and eternity.
I will run
But I will never leave
I will always wait as long as she wants me to
Again a want only comes with a need.

I selfish, need her more than I need essentials.
I will look back in my mind
and see only happiness and pain
welded into need.
