Atlantic Dance Orchestra - Keep It Under Your Hat

Nothing is known about this band recording for Edison. Rust suggests it might be the equally unknown Meadowbrook Dance Orchestra, appearing later under the latter denomination in the Edison recording lists. Dave Kaplan was also involved on some of the recording sessions of this period but the data are conflicting and very fuzzy. Who-ever is playing, this is an excellent performance, recorded in 1923. By lack of information and, hence of material regarding the musicians, I added some pictures referring to theme of the song. However, thanks to valuable information provided by a viewer, it appears this was the band of trumpeter Louis Katzman with Nathan Glantz's sappy alto saxophone. From the September 27 from 1922 session to the August 6 from 1924 session, the band was directed by Louis Katzman.
